Lingo

Here are some of the common terms, phrases, and lingo used throughout LEGO and Bricks by Numbers.

  • Brick Value Indicator (BVI): A Bricks by Numbers metric that compares the price per piece (ppp) metric against the cost to purchase individual bricks from a set from LEGO’s Pick-A-Brick.
  • Price Per Piece (ppp): Calculated by taking the retail price of a set and dividing it by the total piece count. Also referred to as price per part or price per brick.
  • Price Per Gram (ppg): Calculated by taking the retail price of a set and dividing it by set weight.
  • LEGO Price Per Piece Total (LPPP Total): Calculated by taking the total the cost of acquiring all bricks in a set from LEGO Pick-A-Brick.
  • LEGO Price Per Piece (LPPP): Calculated by taking the LPPP Total and dividing it by the total piece count.
